Arizona Western College Yuma, AZ
AWC is our lead school in Irrigated Vegetable Production. The staff uses applied ag technology in the teaching of vegetable production courses.





Bismarck State College Bismarck, ND
Bismarck State College is an AgrowKnowledge Associate Partner who will be working with Ridgewater College.  Specialty areas include Precision Farming (GPS/GIS), Animal Science/Veterinary Science, and Crop Science.  The school's representative is Carmel Miller.

Blue Mountain Community College Pendleton, OR
Blue Mountain Community College is one of seventeen community colleges in Oregon. Agricultural students graduate with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Agriculture Production, Agriculture-Business or an Associates Degree in Agriculture. Our courses articulate easily with the major Agricultural Colleges in the West. Students use the "learn by doing" technique on the 100+ acre school farm. They plant, maintain and harvest various irrigated and non irrigated crops and support through animal husbandry a variety of livestock.

College of Southern Idaho Twin Falls, ID
The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Science (ACES) department serves the needs of irrigated and diversified agriculture with programs in Aquaculture, Horticulture, Horse Management, Laboratory Technology, Farm Business Management, Sustainable Agriculture, and Veterinary Technology (AVMA Accredited). Additionally, the ACES program maintains strong partnerships with the University of Idaho for joint programs and degree transfers, and with the Idaho Food Quality Assurance Laboratory. Both of which have buildings on the CSI campus.

Hawkeye Community College Waterloo, IA
Hawkeye Community College was the lead college in the development of the PrAEN. 90% of all Hawkeye Agriculture and Natural Resources students receive training in GPS data collection and GIS software.





Joliet Junior College Joliet, IL
Joliet Junior College is an AgrowKnowledge Associate Partner specializing in Horticulture.  They will be working with Parkland College.




Kirkwood Community College Cedar Rapids, IA
Kirkwood is a national leader in Agricultural Geospatial Technology and Animal Technology. As a community college they graduate the second largest number of 2-year agricultural students in the country. Kirkwood will provide leadership, facilities and administration of the grant. They will also provide expertise in animal and crop production for the Midwest region, veterinary technology and agricultural geospatial technologies.

Lansing Community College Lansing, MI
Lansing has the longest running 2-year GIS degree program in the nation. Bob Welch is known nationwide for his work in GIS, partnering with industry and for his work within PETE. Lansing will provide expertise in sensing and equipment technology, agribusiness and in agricultural crops found in the Great Lakes and Northeast US regions.

Mississippi Delta Community College Inverness, MS
MDCC is a pilot school within the MSCI NASA Space initiative, developing courses and program for the technology transfer of NASA technologies to community colleges. They are also developing a 2 year degree program in precision agriculture.

Muscatine Community College Muscatine, IA
Muscatine Community College specializes in Business Management -- Production and Retail, Agronomy, Animal Science, and Risk and Financial Management.  They will be working with Hawkeye Community College.






Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute Wooster, OH
Ohio State ATI has a broad range of programs in agriculture: horticulture, animal sciences, crop sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering technologies. They will represent University Agricultural Technical Institutes. They have the largest number of 2 year agricultural graduates in the nation.




Parkland Community College Champaign, IL
PC was a member of the Precision Agriculture Education Network (PrAEN) and has experience in working within a partnership for purpose of developing a coordinated curriculum as a result of National Science Foundation ATE/DUE #9752081. They have developed several unique programs related to emerging technologies

Redlands Community College El Reno, OK
The mission of RCC is to prepare students for lifelong learning in a high technology, fast-paced environment.
By investing in a technology infrastructure, professional development of employees, and a flexible curriculum, Redlands Community College will prepare students for the 21st century.

Ridgewater College Willmar, MN
RC was also a member of the PrAEN. They have highly regarded programs in Custom Application, Agribusiness, and Farm Operation and Management.

Southwest Wisconsin Technical College Fennimore, WI
SWTC was also a member of the PrAEN. They have successfully integrated precision agriculture concepts into a current agriculture business program.

Thompson School of Applied Science Durham, NH
Thompson has extensive agriculture programs in crops, horticulture and animals with a large Forest Technology program. They originally applied for a national ag center proposal 4 years ago and thus can provide valuable leadership.




Valencia Community College Orlando, FL
VCC offers a unique Environmental and Horticulture department as well as representing Southeast and Florida agriculture.

Ventura College Ventura, CA
Ventura has extensive experience in Biotech Education and curriculum development, with involvement in the Biolink NSF project. They have offered Certificates and AS degrees in Plant Biotechnology and Biotechnology since 1996, and will be adding Ag GPS/GIS through the collaboration of the AgrowKnowledge NSF project. Bill Thieman, Biotech Program Director, has developed a web based course on FDA regulations that can provide certification in Sec 210,211 (Good Manufacturing Practice) as a1 unit course. In addition Ventura will provide expertise in wine, vegetable, fruit and "bio-products" production originating in the CA.

Vincennes University Vincennes, IN
VU was also a member of the PrAEN. They have integrated a variety of technology into their agribusiness program. Though named as a university, Vincennes is, in fact, a 2-year institution offering Associate degrees.
