Dr. Judith Kjelstrom, University of California

Hear about the activities of the UC Davis Biotechnology Program, cutting edge research in biotechnology and bioinformatics at UC Davis and beyond, as weel as education resources to help you in the classroom.

Speaker Bio:
 Dr. Kjelstrom is an experienced administrator, educator, science writer and communicator, researcher and clinical laboratory scientist. She is passionate about cutting edge science and its potential to solve challenging issues in medicine, agriculture, and the environment as well as to drive economic growth. Her focus is on education the workforce from entry to doctoral level positions, by building partnerships in academic, government and business. Dr. Kjelstrom received he Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with the highest honors from California State University, Sacramento and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi nation honor society at graduation. She earned her doctoral degree in Microbiology from UC Davis.
